An essay competition with prizes totaling $15,000 to celebrate the generous bequest of Alexander Horsburgh Turnbull’s library to the nation. Competition is open to Suffrage 125-related themes.
Open to NZ Women (citizens or permanent residents) undertaking a special project or post-graduate study of value to the wider New Zealand community. This year’s Suffrage 125 award is $4,000.
Open to secondary students. To enter, produce a piece of creative writing about an item in the collections of the Alexander Turnbull Library. Submissions may include Suffrage 125-related themes.
The Suffrage 125 celebration is being led by the Ministry for Women, New Zealand Minitatanga mō ngā Wahine in partnership with Manatū Taonga Ministry for Culture and Heritage.
