Wellington

For those travelling to Wellington to attend the Summit we’d like to quote for you one of our favourite local sayings “you can't beat Wellington on a good day”. While you’re here we hope you have time to take a stroll around the waterfront and Oriental Parade, go kayaking or paddle-boarding on the harbour, or simply enjoy Wellington’s vibrant café scene. Visit Absolutely Positivley Wellington website for more information.

Called the world’s ‘coolest little capital’ Wellington is known for its vibrant arts scene, world class café and restaurant culture, and active outdoor lifestyle.

Did you know … Wellington enjoys around 2,000 hours of sunshine a year – about 30% more than London and just a little less than Melbourne. Being close to the sea keeps temperatures mild and in April (Autumn) it will still be warm, but a fresh sea breeze will keep the climate at a moderate temperature, average daily max: 19°C/66° F min: 12°C/54°F

We recommend wearing two to three layers of clothing, and always carry a warm coat because it is true that at certain times of the year the wind can get a little wild.

Wellington CBD is just a 20 minute drive from Wellington Domestic Airport. There is an orange Airport Bus (Airport Flyer, the number 91 bus) that departs from the airport every 20 minutes.
