2019 stocktake of Gender, Māori, and Ethnic Diversity

This is the results of the 2019 stocktake on gender, Maōri, and ethnic diversity of state sector boards and committees, undertaken annually by the Ministry for Women. This year, we have reached 49 percent women’s representation on state sector boards and committees – an all-time high. For the first time Māori representation, and that of different ethnicities has been counted.
