Draft Eighth CEDAW report (2015)
This is the draft of New Zealand’s eighth periodic report on the United Nations Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW) for public consultation. The report outlines the progress that the Government has made over the reporting period (March 2012 to March 2016) in improving outcomes for women and implementing the articles of CEDAW. It also addresses the 2012 Concluding Observations of the Committee.
The Government sought public feedback on its draft report. Consultation has now closed and a final version will be submitted to the United Nations Committee on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women in June 2016.
