A group exhibition celebrating 125 years of Women's Suffrage in New Zealand. We have invited artists from around New Zealand to respond to and interpret this wonderful subject in their work. 

This exhibition traces the journey of a group of West Auckland Maori, Pasifika and Congalese women. The exhibition utilizes photographic and video forms to present the journey of the women involved.

An exhibition drawing connections between women’s art and Hocken’s archival collection items relating to women gaining the vote. 'Sisters Communing' celebrates the artistic, domestic, social and political lives of NZ women.

A 5 minute work choreographed by Susan Jordan. It's based on our suffrage history and the on-going fight for women to climb corporate ladders and break through glass ceilings.

We will create three animated gifs celebrating and informing the public about the choices available to New Zealand women in 2018 versus the choices available in 1893. Designed to be shared!

We’ll be celebrating Suffrage 125 and the significant contribution women have made to Parliament, culminating in an event for people of all ages on Saturday, 22 September.

A 13-metre high projection of the Suffrage 125 - Whakatū Wāhine logo will grace the Sky Tower this week to mark 125th anniversary of women's suffrage in New Zealand.
