The story of Beatrice Hill Tinsley, a relatively unknown kiwi icon who should be a household name. Bright Star depicts the agonising dilemma of an extraordinary women caught between family and career. 

Multi-talented women creatives take the stage to share with us their mana, stories and ideas. Come along and celebrate women artists!

In celebration of Suffrage 125, Rialto Channel presents the documentary collection 'Inspirational Women'. A new documentary will have its NZ TV premiere every Wednesday night at 8.30pm in September.

To honour the suffragists, our Wellington cinema is screening female-focused films and documentaries in September including My year with Helen, Celia, Waru, She Shears and many more.

As a celebration of women, this event features the stories of 11 Taranaki women – from Taranaki’s early history to the present – alongside personal stories in response from women in our community.

Former Prime Minister and United Nations Development Programme Administrator, Rt Hon. Helen Clark will be speaking in Tauranga in September as part of the Suffrage 125 celebrations.

On the 125th anniversary of the day New Zealand’s parliament voted 20-18 for women to have a voice, women in the arts gather to dig deep into some of the issues facing us in contemporary Aotearoa.
