Made with clay from current and former female MPs, OVER TIME is a celebratory event offering refreshments in tumblers, which have been stamped with the dates women have won the vote around the world.

For the past year photographer Emmily Harmer has been capturing the portraits and stories of inspiring women working in non-traditional roles in our community. Proudly supported by the Ministry for Women's Suffrage 125 Community Fund.

Join us for a charitable evening as we celebrate this historic anniversary by bestowing the Kate Sheppard Memorial Award to a deserving woman.  Also enjoy award winning film-maker Gaylene Preston as she presents HERSTORY – (Ms)adventures in Filmland.

Celebrate 125 years of women’s suffrage by attending a workshop where four speakers will cover different aspects of how to research women, in particular those who signed the 1893 Suffrage Petition.

Cantoris Choir presents a concert of music by women composers, from NZers Jenny McLeod and Gillian Whitehead, to American Amy Beach who became famous for large scale musical works.

Over 17,000 New Zealand women signed the 1892 Suffrage Petition in support of the movement. Our genealogists will help you find out if one of your ancestors signed the Suffrage Petition in 1892.
