2016 Summit

Maximise your potential and contribution to the Public Sector

The Women in Public Sector Summit 2016 took place for the first time on Wednesday, 13 April at TSB Arena in Wellington. The Summit was an opportunity to bring women in the public sector together to provide professional development that:

  • Enable women to realise their full potential
  • Lift employee engagement and progression
  • Promote diversity and inclusion across the public sector

The Summit saw a diverse range of people come together for one day only to gain insight in navigating the Context, Connections and Challenges involved in fulfilling their career aspirations.

Unlocking our Environment. Explaining the workforce, labour market and career pathways as they relate to women in New Zealand's public sector to provide insight for women wherever they are at in their career journey, practitioners and leaders. The practical approach and tools that work to help women, leaders and agencies navigate and overcome the challenges that face many women in their career journeys so women's full potential and aspirations can be released. Stimulating and supporting women and agencies to actively seek opportunities that will enable them to stretch and contribute more to the public sector, New Zealand and the world!
