On 31 May, the Minister for Women, Hon Julie Anne Genter, announced a $1 million fund for organisations that support women and girls in Aotearoa New Zealand as part of the Government’s COVID-19 response. Initially, the Community Fund was set to allocate $1 million, but due to overwhelming demand, the Government doubled the fund to a total of $2 million.
