Minister for Women, Hon Jan Tinetti, has appointed ten members to the National Advisory Council on the Employment of Women (NACEW) for a three-year term.
NACEW advises the Minister for Women on employment issues for women, including how New Zealand organisations can have fair and inclusive workplaces. NACEW is also the national advisory group on pay transparency and will provide advice to the Minister for Women and the Associate Minister for Workplace Relations and Safety on what a pay transparency system that is fit-for-purpose for New Zealand could look like.
The Chair of NACEW, Traci Houpapa, and current members, Theresa Gattung, David McLean, and Bernadette Pereira, have been reappointed. The new members are Naomi Hughes, Minnie Baragwanath, Theresa Rongonui, Nurain Janah, Melissa Ansell-Bridges, and Lyn McMorran. Representatives from BusinessNZ and the New Zealand Council of Trade Unions (NZCTU) are also members of NACEW.
